Miguel Santos founded Orange County Custom Railing to serve homeowners across Orange County and surrounding neighborhoods who need railings built to match the varied housing stock found from coastal communities to inland hills. As owner and operator he still handles design consultations and site visits himself, drawing on years of hands-on experience with the stucco exteriors, hillside lots, and multi-level homes common throughout the county.

The company operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 2pm so clients can schedule around work and family without waiting weeks for a callback. Every project begins with an upfront quote and a walk-through where Miguel points out how local wind patterns, salt exposure near the coast, and soil movement on slopes affect railing attachment and material choice.

What sets the business apart is the refusal to treat every job the same. Miguel selects finishes and mounting methods that hold up in Orange County conditions rather than using one-size-fits-all kits, and he returns for final inspection so the railing meets both the homeowner's expectations and the realities of the site.

I grew up in Santa Ana and started Orange County Custom Railing after years handling installations on older tract homes in Costa Mesa and newer builds around Irvine. The salt air along the coast and the way winter rains pool on sloped lots convinced me to go out on my own so I could focus on railings that actually hold up here. We keep regular hours Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
